Rental process
The 7 Steps for renting a property with Borgdonck
-
Saving a property
If you've found a property that matches your housing wishes, you can save it by clicking on the heart icon next to the property. The property will now be saved under "My Home".
-
Responding to a property
If you've found a rental property that meets your housing wishes, you can request a viewing on the page where this property is displayed. You'll be asked to provide your personal and contact details, an indication of your/your collective gross income, and one proof of your income.
-
Scheduling a viewing
Your request for a viewing will be checked against our rental conditions by the leasing agent. If you meet these conditions, one of our involved leasing agents will send you an email with an invitation for the viewing. All communication goes through our leasing agents. You will receive notifications by email with updates in this account environment.
-
Viewing
On the agreed day and time, you are welcome to view the rental property. The agent will show you the property and share information about the property and the rental conditions.
-
Do you want to rent?
Are you interested after seeing the rental property? Let the leasing agent know. Before we enter into a rental agreement with you, we would like to know more about your personal and financial situation. We naturally want to know with certainty that you can pay the rent.
-
Providing final data and documents
To assess your personal and financial situation, we will ask you to upload several documents to your account such as pay slips and bank statements.
Below you will find an overview of what we need from you, so you can prepare in advance.

Contract and key handover
- The agent will check your registration against our rental criteria and will provide us with advice on the most suitable tenant in their view if multiple candidates have registered.
- If you qualify for the rental property, you will receive confirmation from the agent that you can rent the property. For this, you will receive an offer by email. If you accept this, we will prepare the rental agreement.
- The agent will discuss the rental agreement with you and then have you sign it digitally. Congratulations! You are now officially the tenant of the property as of the agreed start date of the rental!
- After payment of the first payment term, which includes the rent, any service costs, and the security deposit, we can schedule a key handover. The property is now definitively transferred to you.
